Hi there,

This year's mountain biking trip took me to Whistler, British Columbia.  Whistler is best known for their skiing at both Whistler Mountain and Blackcomb.  I don't know about that but the place sure rocks for mountain biking.  I do know that the villiage is bustling with tons of construction during their short summer season.  Everyone there (locals) were incredibly friendly and hospitable.  Thanks for making the trips so memorable!

Whistler valley is located approxmately 75 miles north east of Vancouver.  It is approximately 2200 feet above sea level with lush meadows, rivers and lakes through out.

Back to biking!  If you love mountain biking, this is a place not to be missed.  They have a ga-zillion bike paths to take you to trails of all levels from dirt bike paths to the craziest of trails!  These crazy trails run the whole menu from loose rocky ascents and decents to logs and bridges over rivers, ravines and more logs..... Those Canadians can ride!

I want to thank the guys at Fanatyk Bike Shop (Fanatyk Co (604) 938-9455) in the villiage.  If they had a web site, I'd send you there.  For now, give them a call or stop by.  They were extremely friendly to us non-locals and were right on with all their descriptions and help.
