Day three Tim and I got up early as usual, had our coffee and breakfast
and sat around for a while. Everyone else finally got up and had
their breakfast etc. By the time I was ready for the ride I was ready
to fall asleep.
We started ride down through the villiage and headed west towards Function Junction. From there it was along Chekamus River for a little while to pick up "Runaway Train". This was another rooty slightly technical single track. Just coming out of the trees in one section to cross the railroad tracks our friend Claudia biffed it quite bad over her handlebars. She managed to hit her head on a tree and get all bruised up by her bike. What a trooper she was, she still finished the ride with all smiles. After "Runaway Train" we made our a way over to the "Interprative Forest" trails. There we found some really smooth beginner single track. Some of the hills might have been a little steep for beginner riding but boy the trail was smooth. It was more like a dirt path for hikers/bikers. After a long day of riding, we were all starving as always and managed
to make our way back to the villiage for some grub. Lunch typically
was not until 1600-1700hrs.
