Whistler Golf Club

Day 5:   6 August 1999 - Day off of riding.  Golf at Whistler Golf Club
On Day 5, we all needed a break from all of the riding we had been doing.

While the rest of the gang went shopping or hiking up toward the top of Whistler mountain, I took in a round of golf at the Whistler Golf Club.  This golf course was incredibly beautiful and fun to play.  It is a Arnold Palmer Course with several creeks and lakes through out.

I played with the Fishers from Illinois and Washington.   Terry, Lois and son David were great golfers and incredibly nice people.

The staff there was incredibly nice and helpful.   If you have some time, definately take in a round there.

While I was out golfing, some of the gang went on a hike.  Oh a hiking we will go!  They took the lift up a ways and hiked up from there. I wish I could remember some of the words and descriptions they used but it sounds like they had  a lot of fun.  They said they laughed so hard it hurt.  After they hiked up quite a ways, they each came sliding down on their butts  (bums as the Canadians say).
.
Heigh Ho!  Heigh Ho!  It's off to hike we go!  This is the gang walking their way up the mountain side.  It's not just a hike, it's an adventure
Here's our fearless leader.  He is known as Troy or Tall Boy. No ride is ever just a short ride.  It will always be a THREE HOUR TOUR
Pete and Ellie!  You go girl!  What is Pete doing?  Is he turning her throttles?
Bob, Ruth and Troy.  I don' t know why Troy looks like that.  Then again, he often looks like that.
Hey Troy, you forgot your bike!  This guy just can't be fifty-something.  He just has too much fun!
