WIRCam Preprocessing at CFHT, stacking at Terapix
CFHT is responsible for preprocessing the WIRCam images. By preprocessing, we mean effectively removing any detector imprints on the images. This generally means subtracting a dark, dividing by a flatfield, establishing an astrometric solution, giving photometric zero-points. Subtraction of the sky background is included in the preprocessing. However, the important step of stacking single images into a deeper mosaic is the responsibility of the principal investigator (PI). Terapix has offered to provide its services in stacking the images for PIs, on a request by request basis, for the whole community of users (not only the French). See Terapix's WIRCam processing facilities.

Currently, we advise the PI to contact Terapix (Henry McCracken, Patrick Hudelot and Yannick Mellier) with CFHT CC'd (Daniel Devost and Karun Thanjavur) to request that their data be stacked. The Run ID, target names and filter to be analyzed should be specified and the email sent to all concerned at once. Terapix currently as a queue of stacking requests.

Status keys:
Not observed --> The program has no observation yet.
Empty --> The data hasn't made it into the `I`iwi queue yet. Please be patient...
Queued --> The data is being preprocessed.
Preprocessed --> The data has been preprocessed successfully and is being packaged for distribution.
On hold --> A problem occurred with the data or it is still being observed. We are looking into it!
Distributed --> The data has been made available to the PI.
