CFHTLS from the CADC Perspective
Schade, D.

Abstract: CADC was part of the Legacy Survey long before there was a Legacy Survey. It is fitting to dream during the development phase of a project like the CFHTLS and we certainly did dream. We also worried. (It is difficult today to recall how daunting the prospect of 25 Terabytes per year appeared to be.), , CADC%92s dream was to play an important role in making great science possible with the CFHTLS working together with CFHT and Terapix. The surveys have clearly been very successful scientifically which is the primary metric. And CADC has managed to successfully carry out all of its commitments to the CFHT community. There are a number of ways in which CADC and its partners could probably have done better. We should take advantage of hindsight and consider how we might do better for the future of CFHT and for other large astronomy projects.
