Abstract: Based on observations obtained with MegaPrime-MegaCam at CFHT, we have, analyzed the galaxy luminosity functions in the very relaxed cluster, of galaxies Abell 496, and in the filament region of the merging, cluster Abell~85. The faint end slopes of GLFs are known to be, influenced by environmental properties (they often vary with, clustercentric distance and are expected to be affected by cluster, merging processes)., , In Abell~496, we find that the GLFs are more populated in the, south region, where a concentration of clusters is observed,, suggesting the existence of a weak cosmological filament linking, Abell~496 with these clusters. A rich population of, galaxies is observed in the south east region of Abell~85, coincident, with the X-ray filament., , We discuss the properties of the GLFs in view of the large scale, structure surrounding these two clusters.
