Governance

The CFHT Board of Directors is comprised of ten members, four appointed by the National Research Council (NRC) of Canada, 4 by the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) of France, and 2 by the University of Hawai'i. The Board appoints the Executive Director of the Corporation who serves as the executive officer of the Corporation.

Scientific Advisory Council

The Scientific Advisory Council (SAC) consists of 10 members appointed by the Board of Directors: 4 members designated by the National Research Council of Canada (NRC), 4 members designated by the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) of France, and 2 members designated by the University of Hawai'i. The Scientific Advisory Council provides advice to the Board of Directors and to the Executive Director concerning scientific and technical matters related to the aims of the Corporation.
