A numbering system has been adopted to organize the filter database. The filters are numbered based on a 4 digit code. The following diagram explains the coding system for the visible filters. The system for the IR filters is similar, and is explained on the IR code page.

     ex.: 1 5 04

               | | ------- order sequence # (4th filter with 15 as prefix)
               | |
               | ---------- first number of central wavelength (5430 Ang)
               |
