The Subaru and Keck observatories get ready for the night
Shortly before sunset, the domes are opened to help stabilize the
temperature of the air within. Astronomical observations, which
continue throughout the night, will be starting promptly, and so it is crucial
to produce a stable environment as quickly as possible.
